Kryptek partners with Shiner Beer to release special edition beer labels to support conservation

Kryptek and Shiner Beer have teamed up to feature specialty Camo packaging on Shiner’s iconic Bock and Light Blonde brews. 

Funds from the specially wrapped cans will go toward wildlife and marine conservation.

The limited edition Kryptek x Shiner cans have already started distribution and will continue to hit the shelves for the next three months.

“Kryptek is a brand for people that seriously love the outdoors, just like we do here at Shiner Beer. We wanted to take our love for wildlife a step further and support conservation efforts with this partnership,” says Nick Weiland, Sr. Brand Manager for Shiner Beer.

A portion of funds from the Kryptek-wrapped Shiner Bock beer cans will go toward the Texas Wildlife Association to support wildlife conservation while funds from the Light Blonde will go to the Costal Conservation Association for marine conservation efforts.

As for the Kryptek wrap on the cans Weiland says, “Kryptek dreamt up so many unique ideas and packaging patterns that it was difficult to narrow it down to just two.”

The Kryptek Camo patterns featured on the Shiner Bock and Light Blonde beer cans are specialty colorways of Kryptek’s Obskura pattern. The colors of each beer brand were incorporated into the pattern to create two exclusive Kryptek Obskura x Shiner colorways.

In addition to the Kryptek x Shiner beer cans, the two new Obskura colorways are also available in limited edition apparel offerings including two fishing shirts, a polo, a trucker hat and a straw sun hat. The Kryptek x Shiner apparel is now available on Kryptek’s website while supplies last.

Kryptek’s Obskura pattern was born out of the vast experience and insight Kryptek gained through the U.S. Army Camo Improvement Effort and development efforts with other Foreign Militaries. In summary, the macro-pattern of Kryptek’s original family of patterns became the micro-pattern for Obskura, and elements inspired by the extensively proven Tiger Stripe Camo became the macro-pattern.
